A maternity photoshoot is a beautiful way to capture the strength and beauty of a woman during this special time. It's an opportunity to celebrate the miracle of pregnancy and empower women to embrace their changing bodies. Whether you choose to have a solo session or include your partner and family, the photos will be a cherished reminder of this precious moment in your life. Where do the photoshoot take place?
Maternity session can take place either in a beautiful location chosen by You, me or in my home studio, where I will provide you with a comfort making sure, you and any of your family members feel safe and relax.
MAKE-UP
How do I get ready?
For a maternity session mom can either do her own make-up or hire a make-up artist.
Even if you value naturalness, it is not worth giving up this stage of preparation.
That's why before the session you should put yourself in the hands of specialists, who will prepare your face in such a way that it will look gorgeous in the photos.
If you feel up to it, you can also do it yourself. Here are some tips on what you should pay special attention to.
Your complexion for photos should be nicely evened out and contoured in natural shades. It is best to finish your make-up with mattifying or satin powder. A wet-skin effect is unlikely to work during such a session. Beware of grey/grey matte bronzers and highlighters with a silver or pink glow. If you choose such colors there is a good chance that instead of perfect modeling you will see blue spots on the photo. Do not shy away from false eyelashes. Thanks to them the eye will look bigger, rested and more open and sensual. Make sure to emphasize your eyebrows - they're what will give your face that "done", well-groomed look. Everything else is just a matter of your personal taste

I own some maternity dresses, so you don't have to worry about not having anything to wear.
But if you would like to take some of your things with you .....
Fitted dresses are great for accentuating your tummy. It is not a good idea to wear loose maternity clothes, because they will optically enlarge your figure and will not emphasize your curves, which is the point of showing them. It is also not a good idea to wear patterned outfits to a photo. Colorful flowers or other motifs will only draw attention away from the stomach, which is the main purpose of the session.

It is always a good idea to take a plain, flesh-coloured set, which will not show through under your clothes. If you dream of taking photos in your underwear, pack a nice lacy set or an elegant bodysuit. Simple one-coloured sets will also work well. ( STUDIO ONLY :)
HAIRSTYLE
What is the ideal hairstyle for a maternity shoot? Any updos, curls, buns or braids gathered at the back of your head are unlikely to work. You just can't see them. The two most popular hairstyles I can recommend are voluminous, wind-swept waves or straight, sleek hair. Voluminous, natural-looking hairstyles give you an airy, girly look and make your body proportions look better. The sleek modern hairstyle works with practically any hairstyle, accentuates your facial features, neck and jaw nicely, looks luxurious and elegant in photos and is easy to create.
ACCESORIES
Elegant jewellery, a fashionable hat and shoes that go well with the whole outfit are very important when planning the shoot. If you want to show your belly during the session, a few days before the event you should not wear tight clothes or underwear that will leave marks on your skin.
PARTNER
If you're planning a shoot with your partner, let's also think about his or her outfit. Here he suggests simple and elegant, but comfortable clothes, so that the man feels comfortable. Light-coloured shirts work well for men, clothes with light patterns or textures are acceptable.
Can I also get UNEDITED photos?
As I’m sure you know, editing is a big part of every photographer’s creative process. It’s super important to me that the work I put out into the world lives up to a standard that I’m happy with, and releasing unfinished files means I lose control of that.
